Zoli is indicated for managing nasal congestion associated with acute or chronic rhinitis, the common cold, sinusitis, upper respiratory allergies, epistaxis, and hay fever. It is also utilized as a nasal decongestant in cases of otitis media.
Take this medication as directed by a registered physician.
Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride, an imidazoline derivative and sympathomimetic amine, acts as a direct agonist at α-adrenoceptors, without any effect on β-adrenoceptors. When applied topically to the nasal mucosa, it induces rapid and long-lasting vasoconstriction of arterioles, reducing blood flow and mucosal swelling. This results in improved nasal airway potency and better drainage of the nasal sinuses.
Avoid using Zoli Nasal Spray in patients undergoing treatment with MAO inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping such therapy.
Overdose symptoms may include local irritation and rebound congestion. Treatment is typically symptomatic.
The safety of Oxymetazoline Hydrochloride Nasal Spray during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not fully established. However, it is not believed to pose a significant risk during these periods.
Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from light. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Keep out of the reach of children.
